Happiness

Listening and intuiting are key strengths of mine along with compassion, patience and humour.  Self-realization has been my major passion since I was 20.   Helping others find the source of happiness within and to learn to live from that place is both an honour and a joy.  I’d love to help you along with your journey.

 

 

Health

Studying and working as a doctor showed me enough illness to know we had to take care of our health.   The biggest instruments of mass destruction aren’t nuclear missiles that we have no control over but something that we do have intimate control over – our knives, forks, spoons and anything we use to put food/drink in our mouths.  

One of the problems I see is that we think we are eating healthily when we are not.  It’s an unfortunate side effect of the nutrition wars that are happening between vested interests that confusion abounds as to what’s healthy and what’s not for an individual.

What we all need to understand and appreciate is that the food and drink we put in our mouth affects our biochemistry, which then determines a wide variety of hormones and which gene programs our body turns on or off, which then affect how we feel and how we are driven by our body to eat.  And like that old adage, you can’t city hall, we can’t fight our body forever.  Our biochemistry and our hormones will generally always win.

Life can be a vicious cycle that grinds your body into the dirt or it can be an expanding spiral of joy as you reach levels of health and well-being you hadn’t even imagined, when you get your body working for you rather than against you.  

I come with a lot of experience.  35 years vegetarian, 10 of those wheat free vegan.  Following that I’ve had 9 years carbohydrate restricted or LCHF ketogenic diet and since January 2020 since I dropped the small amount of veggies I have been primarily carnivore.

Happiness and Health are often intertwined.  

Sometimes it’s not that clear where to start.  Working on your emotional-mental state is essential.  And sometimes we need to appreciate that changing our diet is exactly what our emotional-mental state needs.
