And Their Prey Is You!

Sounds like a threat to me

For the record, I am not anti-vegan. For heaven’s sake I was a wheat free vegan for 10 years within the larger context of being vegetarian for 35 years. Our first child came early on in that 10 year vegan portion of my life and our second 3 years later. They grew up healthy despite a vegan diet and no vaccinations. Why do I say this? I don’t want vegans or vegetarians to put me in the ‘establishment’ camp and discount what I’m saying here. I do want people to start really thinking.

So no, I’m not anti vegan. I am anti telling people what to do and trying to control the laws and public policy to make it so. Especially when the science backing their ‘claims’ is so poor. It’s tantamount to pulling the proverbial wool over people’s eyes and heading them out to slaughter.

I was never what I would call a vicious vegan. Vicious vegans in my mind need to do some serious self reflection on their deepest darkest thoughts, feelings and actions. For me it was about responsible personal choice. Never about controlling anyone, let alone the masses. Although I did have to apologise to my friend recently when she reminded me that when her kids were talking about how much they loved lamb, that I did bring the idea that those cute fluffy things they loved seeing bouncing jollily along in the green New Zealand pastures, was what they were relishing the thought of eating, into their minds. At that point I was thinking of influencing my kids minds from being led down that slippery path. I wasn’t trying to change the whole world but when you think about it, if your kids are the world to you, there’s not a lot of difference.

So, are the Vegans really out to get you? Here is their 10 point plan of attack:

“KNOWLEDGE:

Identifying Questions

  1. EAT will work towards building consensus on an initial, scientific ‘2 degree’ target for food.
  2. There was a major breakthrough in commitments to global action to mitigate the impact of climate change when the ‘2 degree’ target was introduced. A similar science-based consensus is needed to establish the parameters of healthy and sustainable diets.
  3. EAT will generate independent, trusted knowledge to inform change-makers’ decisions

ACTION:

Translating Knowledge into Action

  1. EAT will work to reform global, national and local governance around food systems.
  2. EAT will influence and align political and business action.
  3. EAT will translate knowledge into action working through strategic partnerships.
  4. EAT will scan the horizon for new partners to drive reform in critical sectors and regions.

ENGAGEMENT:

Engaging Stakeholders | Amplifying the Message | Influencing

  1. EAT will grow its global food forums to be the go-to events for bold and disruptive ideas, uncommon collaborations, new research, new solutions and new connections.
  2. EAT will tip the scales by setting a new narrative for sustainable and healthy food.
  3. EAT will work with partners to put in place integrated accountability and measurement reports.
  4. EAT will grow, develop and streamline its operations to align with its ambitions.”

That should make you stand up and take notice. These folks are not pussyfooting around. These vegan/vegetarians are vehement and they seek to control your choice of food. Which is your control over your health. Although, sadly, a lot of doctor’s are still catching up with what Hippocrates said over 2,000 years ago.

Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food.

And those vehement vegan/vegetarian/plant nutrition advocates, are actively progressing on that hunt as you read this. Make no mistake about it. They won’t let up until they have caught, drawn and quartered their prey and left it out to dry.

Is it now any wonder that we see articles like this coming in?

I’m glad we’re not responding like rabbits caught sleeping in our burrow by the hungry foxes. Even though the vicious, vehement vegans are desperately trying to make us feel as guilty as sin, both for our effect on the planet (again dubious but politically correct bad science) and on our health, these rabbits do have some heavy hitting rear paws:

But let’s at least take a look at the science.

You know I really used to love Walter Willett from Harvard. At least I did when I was a vegan/vegetarian myself. I even used to help spread his message. But that was part of my naive and gullible past. Now I seriously question whether epidemiology should actually be called a science. At least I’m sure that its not a science that we should be deciding public policy on. But that’s what those 10 points above all boil down to. They believe it’s a science and they, as I said, are on the hunt and you, their prey.

I have to wonder about their possibly fat starved brains and the science they say is science when they can’t even add to 10. If you look, there are actually 11 points in their 10 point plan. But I’m getting nasty here.

We’d all better pray that they don’t win the hunt. Because if they do I can guarantee that they will end up destroying the health of people and planet even more than the disasters of the Holocaust and the recommended food pyramid.

Remember, both Einstein and Hitler were vegetarians. Why do I mention that? To help you get that just because someone is a vegetarian doesn’t make them holier or more righteous than you.

Here’s one of my favourite psychiatrists research on the EAT-Lancet’s research:
