Comment:

It’s a great thing to mentally & emotionally play with the assumption that the past, our past, has gone and to practise being open to having the present be revealed to us.  To not write our own version of the present but to simply be open to what is, when we have let the past go.

Enjoying the moment but also being alert to when grievances want to come in from left field and steal the moment.  That is where our defensiveness can be helpful.  When we not only give peace a chance, as John Lennon would say, but actively take a stand and defend it’s existence when we feel it being threatened, so that we can experience the delight of it in an ongoing continuum.

The timeless moment.
