LESSON 84.  Second Review

(67) Love created me like itself.

Let me not see an illusion of myself in this.
As I look on this, let me remember my Creator.
My Creator did not create this as I see it.

(68) Love holds no grievances.

This is no justification for denying my Self.
I will not use this to attack love.
Let this not tempt me to attack myself.

Comment:

Many are so averse to the 3 letter word beginning with G, ending with d, with an o in the middle.

A lot of people can’t even look at A Course In Miracles because it has that word in it.  And heaven forbid it talks about Him and him & Father and Son all the time.  Sexist text that it is.

God as such is an illusion of our making.  We go to war over our interpretation of those illusions.

But what if we replaced the word God with the word Love?  Could we sit down together more easily and without getting into a fight?

Love is something we, hopefully, all have had or definitely can have, an experience of.  As such it can be something in our experience that we can then talk about.  We can decide on characteristics that go with love and ones that don’t and hopefully come to some sort of agreement about it..

I would imagine agreeing on love is going to be a lot easier and more fruitful than sitting around a table trying to agree on God.
